It is set on cool but yet it keeps blowing hot air like if it were set on heat... could it be the heater core? or something else, what should i do? since that its summer it kills to drive my 7 in the middle hot summer with my heater blowing hot air. anyways should it try flushing my coolant and the heater core? if so how do it flush my heater core? thanks guys

sounds like the valve to the heater core is stuck open. in the engine bay on the passenger side, trace the heater core line. you should found a round valve, larger than the core line. if it is there, give it a couple of taps to see if that frees it up, maybe plugged. if that doesn't work, flush the system with a cleaner and replace that valve.

does the air mix motor move when you put the temp control from hot to cold???

The most common thing, is that air mix motor fails usually taking the logicon with it.

It is somewhat rare to have the heater core valve stick
