heater hose question

heater hose question

can the heater hose coming off of the engine of a 91 convertable be blocked or does it need to be recirculated?

You can block it off. I don't know if the heater core will be damaged with hot water just sitting there not moving, so you might want to block off/re-route the feed and return. Other than that, you'll have no heat, which you probably are already aware of.

i should clarify that the engine is not in the 91 convertable so i have no heater core at all...i want to make sure i can just cap the line coming off the engine and i won't have a overheat problem

Your temps may go up a bit, because the volume of coolant circulating will now be less than it once was...
