heater hose question

heater hose question
the hose broke. so i took it off and took it to the store for a new one and the guy said they have it in the wherehouse but its only for automatics. so my question is, are the automatic hose the same as the manual hose.
for those of you that arnt sure which hose it is im talking about. its the one that leads from the firewall behind the engine to the lower right side of the engine.
its really twisty and alot of bends in it.
