Question Heater fuse dumb question

I received help from the forum locating my heater fuse because I lost the fuse cover. I have another question the heater fuse has a button in the middle of it, it is not like the regular fuses. Does this button pop up when the circuit breaks?? How do you check this fuse??

i don't think it's a fuse but a circuit breaker that you just reset. i guess they can break, and would then require you to change it. Anyone know this for sure? i've seen it, but i haven't had too many problems with it.
