Their might be an air bubble in your system. If there is then it will block the water flow to your heater core. Do you have any problems with your car overheating?

This happened to my 87 N/A it was a mechanical lever that allowed the water to circulate through the heater core Mine had got caught on the wiring harness on the drivers side under the dash make sure this lever is working to allow water to heater core
