Heater core hose part number???

Whats up guys, on my way to class i noticed my car running a little hotter than it should be (its like 15 degrees outside and temp gauge sits at like 1/4) so i pulled into the nearest spot possible near me and turned my car off and popped the hood. Noticed coolant everywhere and smoke everywhere. I pin pointed the leak to a heater core hose coming off my firewall to the engine block right near the block.

Yes i searched and found a couple of threads and found this https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...itical-947713/

Exactly what happened with my car. I'm o the phone with mazda and they said a part number would be perfect. Does anyone have the part number for that coolant hose? Thanks!!

Just note that Mazdatrix switches the part number around from Mazda. The last section of a Mazdatrix part number is the first section of an OEM part number. So, the heater hose part numbers would start with FB01 or FB03 and then continue on.

make sure you don't torque the clamp down too tight, you can deform the heater core inlet and outlet tubes and cause a leak. Ask me how I know

Yes they are soft, can be re-rounded(real word?) If need be. I had that hose blow on mine, but that lead to me getting my *** in gear and throwing all my goodies in while it was parked.

Well it's like I said 15 degrees out. And with my car 10 miles from my house parked in the street I don't have any desire to install any goodies. Just replace the hose and be out

yeah it needed a new hose. you could have shortened it, just to get home, but it needs a new hose

Yup. Sounds like that's what happens to everyone. I had an hour and a half break between classes and took care of it lol
