Heater Core

I was wondering how hard is it to remove the heater core because after looking at where its at i have no idea wear it could come out at.I guess the whole dash has to come out.

You can probably remove it from under the passenger side footwell. I took out all of the AC components under there and the heater core looks like it might come out that way. Getting at the mounting bolts might make it interesting but worth a shot none the less. Why are you removing it? If you're staying on public roads you will want to have a way to defrost the windshield (or maybe not).

You need to remove the dash then disassemble the heater assembly. It is a major pain in the ***.

Someone here managed to get it out without removing the dash, but based on his description of the position he had to lay in to get it out, I'd remove the dash It is a PITA, but if you go SLOW and don't force things, it'll come out in an hour or two.
