headlights wont turn off :(
headlights wont turn off :(
i already looked through the faqs and i still dont kno what to do. heres the situation:
ever since i bought my car, the headlights were always an issue. the previous owner had the headlights running to a switch inside the car because they wouldnt turn off. i started investigating and i found that the harness going to the headlight and turn signal switch were all cut and destroyed. so i bought a new one and put it in, still the same thing. im looking and looking but i cant find anymore cut wires.
please help me fix this problem. the lights are still on even when i turn the car off. =( thanks

I recently encoutered a similar concern with my 89' vert. I could manually lower the headlights, but as soon as I plugged the headlight switch back in my headlights would pop up and stay on. I replaced the headlight switch and the same symptoms occured. I found that if I pulled the black/green wire from the headlight connector - everything worked normally. From the wiring diagram, it appears that the b/g wire grounds the headlight switch when the alarm is activated. In my case either the CPU is always grounding that wire or the wire is grounded somewhere in the harness. Try this - it may be your solution!
