Headlights not going up and down....?

So I'm in the process of searching and searching through old posts...

At first I had nothing working but I figured out that the plugs on the back of the headlights themselves was causing the lights not to come on just from a bad connection after probing for power at the realy as per Satch's direction in an older post.

So now lights turn on using the switch but the motors will not make the lights pop up and down....?

The big 30 amp head and retractor fuses at the driver strut tower are good. All fuses inside under the dash / kick area are good.

I also started to take apart the switch itself / cluster surround being there's mention of fried switches and harnesses but everything looks good there as well.

The car did sit outside for three years, unused before I picked her up.

At the moment I'm lost. I guess I'll keep searching and probing old posts, but if anyone can chime in and give me a hand it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

does the manual flip up switch work? if no it could be either a swapped incorrect headlight switch from a different series(s4 and s5 are wired differently) or perhaps the motors are simply not plugged in.

The Red/Blue wire at the retractor motor should have voltage when the lights go up. When the lights are to go down then the Red/Yellow wire should have voltage. If neither occurs then the Headlight Switch is the source of the problem if the two connections between the switch and retractor are both sound. You can cut to the chase and measure the two wires at the switch to give you a heads up.
