headlights help

So I have a few issues with my headlights, first one is there's a short on the passenger side so it comes up dim unless my brights are on. It's been in a wreck so I'm not sure if they moved things around or made short-cuts. The other issue is the plastic trim peice on the side is gone, it's ugly, so I was thinking that mabey instead of trying to find another one there's a kit I saw, and in the front there are cut-outs so the headlights don't have to go up or down anymore, they just stay down. Anyone know of this kit?

I know, alot of writing, this car is a really big learning experience for me. Everyone wants me to sell it, but i kinda like the car, running or not

I had similar problems with one side would be dim or dies out and comes back up on bumpy roads.

I replaced the headlights with HID kit. Solid Now. Not sure if that'll apply to you.

They're Ebay headlights as well, but the previous owner sais there's a short and he got the lights to replace the busted one in the wreck.
