Headlights

Alright, I have an issue here with the headlights now. They will neither come on, nor pop-up. I tried swapping the combo switch, but that didn't do anything(the instrument cluster still lights properly). I'm looking through the FSM and aside from the combo switch cannot see why the lamps and motors won't actuate. The illum fuse is good, and the engine starts so obviously the main fuse is good too. Is it a bad relay (but according to the FSM that wouldn't stop the motors), or do I have two bad combos on my hands here?

try the retractor fuse in the Engine bay fuse block,That is what fuse is for the Retractor motors for the Headlights.

Look at the engine fuse box and there you will find are the "Head" fuse which powers the headlight relay and the dimmer switch and then onto the headlights themselves. This fuse also powers a relay in the headlight switch.

There is also the "Retractor" fuse which powers the headlight retractors.

Check both of these fuses. If the Red wire at the "Headlight Relay" has voltage (no key necessary) then the Head fuse is good. If the White/Green wire coming out of the engine fuse box under the "Retractor" fuse location/going to the headlight retractor motor has constant voltage (no key needed) then that fuse is good as well.

You could also jumper a wire from the White/Blue wire in the Headlight Relay to a ground and the lights should come on. If they do then the Head fuse is good but the switch and or headlight switch harness is bad.

It was a misplaced fuse. I share Lucy with my younger brother and he's a disrespectful uppity *****, so I got back at him one day by unplugging the EGI fuse and putting it in the empty spot. He's an utter car-tard (and yet wants to get a Turbo Mk-III for his first car...lol), so he was lost. I instructed him on what to do, but he took the 'Head' fuse instead of the unoccupied one. So, long story short...I'm an airhead and Lucy's right as rain again.
