JDM fogs? Are you a ******' drift bunny? You think slide-ways is the only way to ride-ways? Uhh, the fog lights on S5 cars are factory all over the world. And new? Nothing screams new like not searching for stuff or getting a car and saying" I want what he's got! What is it?" It sounds like you got your start in the not so educated realm of tuning(Cheap Honda, Ebay, and Rota) so do your self a favor and research first. Nothing legit for car is cheap and nothing expensive is without a reason.

What makes them attractive is the rarity. People want em cause they cant have em.

I want them because with the luck I've been having with this car I'm probably going to have my headlight motors fail anyhow...I had an 88 firebird that did that, had to leave them up all the time, nothing sexy about that. I'm already dishing out 2-3k for my engine work as we speak!

seriously, if you really are interested contact ShineAutoProject (SAP) and see if they can help you out. Get enough ppl interested and you might be able to own a copy. quit defending it and do something about it.

2-3K for engine work isn't too bad. What's getting done? porting or just rebuild?

I already am talking to Ken, thanks for referring me to them, I have a rebuild short block from ernst at rx7 world, then I'm doing the clutch, no ports, just gonna try to tune it to run as best I can. I have upgraded seals and corner springs, only 2mm, but I'm gonna run a good cold air intake kit and see about tuning up my ecu. This will be my road car until I can afford a TII upgrade, I am making this 88 a project car. Probably get a nice body kit, new interior, r134a upgrade, good stereo and such.. My engine blew at 160,000 because the guy who sold it to me told me he had just changed the oil and I like an idiot didn't check it on the 100+mile drive home. Blew about 60 miles later, both rotors had no compression. Had to push it to the side of the road. Bought this thing for 1900 and before I even get to drive it to work I have to double its cost to me..that's the luck I'm talking about. Ran like a champ when I test drove it...knew it was too good to be true.

And so I ordered a motor and it showed up and the shipping company had dropped it! Broke the bell housing, but ernst replaced it almost completely, everything but the rotors and rotor housings pretty much.

Anyone have any suggestions that would unlock some more power in this stock ecu? Anything that will give me that 5-10 hp boost? Anyone know if the heat-shielded intake gasket is worth the $60?

SAFC, RB true duals (road-race system), keep the stock intake until you can build your own cold air box.

The problem with stock flips or any flip-up headlights is that they look great when down, but when up they cause drag and change the car's high speed stability. I know this because I have owned numerous flip-up headlight cars(ie; MR-2, FB and FC RX-7, and a Miata) and I can definently tell a difference when driving at highways speeds with the headlights up. I actually try to not turn my lights on when on the highway unless absolutely necessary(ie; night) because of the weird handling feel they can create. That's why non flip-ups can be superior.

unless you're jesus bread won't help you much. an SAFC is a brand (Apex-i S-AFC) not a generic term (fuel controller). You can find cheap SAFC's or SAFCII's on ebay. 1/16" thick sheets of metal, put them together in the shape of a box and put your filter in there. Search for "AAI" or Ambient Air Intake

I don't know how sensitive GSL-SE is when it comes to cars and flip ups but I can honestly say I've never felt the "drag" he claims on neither the miata or the countless FCs I've owned. Maybe i'm not driving fast enough.

The main issue car was my MK1 MR-2 and it wasn't as much of a drag feeling as much as a front-end lift feel.

90mm lenses I think, the owner's name is 20b10ae on teamfc3s forums, I've tried contacting him earlier but haven't gotten a reply yet. Maybe you can ask him to take measurements? I told him about all the buzz and that I've been talking to ken at SAP about maybe finding a pair to mold and produce. I was thinking of using the 90mm hella headlamps, one is high beam the other low. HID would be a nice option too, and maybe even angel eye lenses? What do you think? It would definitely give the FC crowd more options..

Dude that sucks, I just picked up a 90 vert and drove it 200+ miles home with no problems. Well except for the no stereo thing, I cant sing for ****! lol I toped off the oil checked all fluids and pulled the plugs before I took off. The car has the dreaded idle problem but ran like a raped ape on the highway. As for these headlights Im still up in the air, I like em then I dont.

I have seen many mods using the 90mm hellas but I dont know the actual measurements of the lights. Gimme a minute, maybe I can make a grid in photoshop and get some scale measurements, they will be rough but they might help. I would also suggest instead of the integra lights, which I think are too large, you should buy a cheap kit for the fd on ebay maybe? and use those instead. You may be able to alter the style abit, maybe slant the valleys in toward the middle a bit?? Make it smmmmmmmooooooooooothhhhhhherrrrrrrr.....
