Headlight will pop up but no light!! wtf!

So i searched and found nothing.

I Checked my fuses under the hood and in the car, all of them are good. I switched out the actual headlight switch with one that worked good. It still pops up but he lights still wont come on. The lights are plugged in and all.

Anybody know whats up?

The headlight relay is located 2nd from the left as you look from the front of the car into the engine bay when viewing the group of relays. There's 4 wires to the headlight relay plug and 2 of them are Red which have constant voltage. The Red/Green wire has voltage "if" the relay is operating properly and the White/Blue wire has battery voltage when lights are off and no voltage when lights are on. Also the 30 amp "head" fuse in the engine fuse box supplies the Red wires with the voltage. You should therefor check the Red wires for voltage and the White/Blue wire for no voltage when the headlight switch is turned to full up and also check the Red/Green wire for voltage when the lights "should" be on.( switch turned full up position). And if the Red wires don't have voltage then check the 30 amp Head fuse.

Deja vu?

Have you checked the headlight relay as suggested? Until you do, you will go around in circles trying to diagnose your particular problem.

So go put the headlights to ON. You say they pop up but no lights. So try turning on the HIGH BEAMS by pulling back on that switch. IF the high beams come on, then the Dimmer relay might be the problem. IF no high beams come on.........then its possible the HEADLIGHT relay is bad or not getting a gnd from the headlight switch.

OR the HEADLIGHT FUSE in the engine bay is popped.

The way things work on series four......you turn the headlight switch to full ON............the switch passes a GROUND to the HEADLIGHT RELAYs coil and pulls that relay in............headlight relay passes power from the headlight fuse to the DIMMER relay whos contacts are already made for the the low beams and ............power goes from the dimmer relay to the headlight bulbs and they light up.

Headlight relay and dimmer relay are up in front and to the left of the radiator area and are shown in the BODY ELECTRICAL section of the FSM. Colors of the wires of the headlight relay and dimmer relay are shown in the wiring diagrams.

Forget about checking the W/L wire for voltage when the lights are on as I mentioned above, but the other stuff is still applicable.

Is this the very same problem you had in the initial post or have things changed since then?

Its different.

Whenever the headlights are in the off position, they are up with no lights.
But when they are in the on position the headlights go down and turn on.

I have replaced the headlight relay and all the dimmer relay.
The headlight fuse in the fusebox is good too.
I have also switched out the switch.

When you had the old switch hooked up your problem was one of where the lights popped up but didn't turn on. Is this correct. If this is correct then it would appear your newer switch is creating more problems then the older one.

EDITED:

Both switches are screwed. The W/L wire that feeds into the headlight relay has a voltage signal on it when the lights are in the down position which prevents them from turning on and when the lights pop up the W/L wire then receives a ground signal which allows the headlight relay to then activate and pass power through it thus the lights turn on. Your switch(s) are doing the opposite of what they are supposed to do. If you were to stab a wire into the headlight relay where the W/L wire resides and ground out the other end of the wire like on the negative battery terminal and if this is done when you happened to have the lights in the up position then the lights should turn on.
