Headlight troubles

My driver's side headlight will not retract or go up. Passenger headlight works fine. Both headlights will light up, and shut off. All wires/plugs are connected. What might be my problem? Bad headlight motor? If so where/what needs replaced?

I am having the same problem right now. If I listen closely i can hear the headlight motor struggling so i figure something down there is seized or rusted. Check to see if you have a similar issue.

When I flip the headlights on and off I can't hear anything clicking on or off. My motor doesn't sound like it is even trying to click on or off. I'm just trying to figure out if it's the motor or something else.

Checked the ground and that didn't help. Any other suggestions? Should I just replace the motor?

IF it's your 86, I'd say the relay. If it's the 88, I'd check the wiring as I described in my other post.
