Headlight switch harness different b/t S4 and S5 or models?

this is what i sent to the ebay seller:

this is regarding the wiring harness I just purchased and installed into my car (1988 Mazda RX-7). The headlight switch harness you sent me is NOT for 86-88 model year cars like your listing states. The headlight switch harness itself is fine, but it is the turn signal switch harness (smaller connector) that is different. The harnesses are different b/t Series 4 (1986-1988) and Series 5 (1989-1991). The one i received has different color coded wire s than my bad one, and a few of the pins are in different locations or missing all together. I am not saying you sent me a bad part, its just the wrong part.

If you are bagging on a seller, then this thread belongs in Good Guy/ Bad guy section and not hear in the 2nd gen tech section. Your post has been edited to remove such references.

If you are asking a question, then yes the headlight switch harnesses are different between series and not interchangable.

The headlights, parking lights, rear defrost, and cleaner switch all works and wires the same, however the Turn signal and highbeam switch does not wire the same.
