Headlight sticking

I searched and couldnt find much relevant info.

One of my headlights is stuck up.

I just got done doing clutch job on my '88 GXL. Was in the shop for a week or so.
I got everything back together and car runs and feels great, but the passenger side light wouldnt pop up. I let it sit overnight outside and the next day it pops up like normal but slower. I was like cool it fixed itself i guess.

But now the damn thing is stuck open and i have to leave the lights up or the battery dies.

Given these symptoms what the hell is wrong? Stuck motor obviously but i cant see any obstructions. Any advice?
Thanks.
