headlight issues

So yay I passed inspection but when I went to turn my headlights off after they checked them out they would turn off but not go down. So I pulled the fuse, made sure the switch was set to off, lowered the lights manualy, reinstalled the fuse and they shot right back up. So now to have them down i have to leave the fuse out. Do i need a new switch or something?

There is a switch above the headlights switch, which is for popping the lights up when they are switched off, for cleaning or working on them. Maybe you've got it stuck in the up position.

Sounds like the inspector at the shop wasn't familiar with the ***** and at sometime turned the up/down **** instead of the headlight **** (and didn't return it to its original position). In other words....what you said.
