Question Headlight help please

Hey guys
Just went to change the headlights in the 87 I picked up from the yellow that was in it to just regular bulbs. It has and aftermarket kit with H4 bulbs in it but the bulbs are surrounded in some type of rubber seal. Is this common with aftermarket headlight kits or what? The rubber piece is pretty big and goes around the entire oppening inthe back of the healight case and uses sometype of awkward spring to hold it together. I never figured it would be this confusing to just change a bulb lol. Let me know if this is normal or what lol.

Hey thanks for your help. I figured they were just some cheap ebay ones but just couldnt get my head around it. After layingin bed thinking about it last night I realized that the heat from the bulb had melted the rubber sleeve to the bulb itself which is why I had such a difficult time getting it off. Now I just need to figure out exactly how that weird *** retaining spring is supposed to be. Thanks again.
