headlight help

Ive got an 86 and one of my headlights went out. They were weak to begin with, so I'm thinking I should upgrade to say halogen lights or something? does anyone make them? and how much?

Brighter is better. Even Wal-Mart has the new GE blue-white halogens now.

hey Easy P, whats up bro.

do an H4 conversion, and get some PIAA golds, or super plasma's.

the Golds look like what they use on the cars in the Rolex 24, and lemans.

the Super plasma's have a purple halo around the center of the beam, looks tight. way better than any ghetto blue bulbs u can get. besides, EVERYONE has them..

i would do the H4 conversion...if i wasnt selling my 7.

ok, I'm selling the 7 too, but not for a while. have to sell my mr2 first and get the 7 painted and enjoy it too. so I was wondering if there was a brighter headlight with replaceable bulbs that wasn't too much.

i hear Hella makes the H4 conversion, thats the one that has replaceable bulbs. they are the little halogen capsule bulbs, or u could get them in xenon.

they make TONS of aftermarket lights for the H4 style, some as cheap as 15 a set. and they give u that 'cool blue' tint to ur lights...but they burn out as fast as a beatnick hippie...PIAA is probably the best and most reliable people to get lights from...but that aint w/o a price tag. H4s can run roughly 50 a set, and are totally DOT legal, unlike most of the aftermarket bulbs out there. check out Hella or soemthing and see what the conversion kit costs. some guys here have them too. just start a thread like "H4 conversion kit? how much" youll get the answers
