Header wrap on turbo manifold

I have a bnr s5 t2 stage 3 turbo. I know a lot of people were against it, but I am thinking about using the heat wrap and wrapping my s5 t2 manifold and exhaust housing, and on top of that trying to fit the factory heat shields.

How easily do these manfolds crack to the point of junk? My main concern is the heat coming off the exhaust effecting everything else. It's cast iron and should hold up for a while, no?

I noticed a ton of people get rid of the factory heat shields, why?

i think most people don't put the heat shields back just due to laziness, or the car didn't have them because the last guy lost em.

the S5 being cast iron, and beefy, i think would do ok wrapped, but i think i would prefer to make a shield/wrap the intake manifold first. although it may be that one of these is easier to do than the other.
