Question Having trouble w/ 88 Rx-7 Loss of power once warmed up.

Hey whats up.Well I bought an 88 rx-7.Only one in town.And the town machanic doesn't know what to do w/ it.It starts great.But after you let it idle a while so it can warm up.It suddenly loses power and wont go fast at all .What up with that? Please help so maybe I can tell my mechanic what he needs to do .lol Man why am I paying this guy.

Same troubleshooting procedure for all cars with this symptom:

1. Is the check engine light on? If so, pull the code
2. Change the fuel filter
3. Check for hot iginition issues (plugs/wires)
4. Check you battery, engine, & terminal grounds.
5. Check that the injectors are working correctly (grounding, fuel pressure, etc..)
