Have you had this problem?????
I had no lights at all. nothing. called repair shop after shop, called Mazda, no one knew. Til my uncle said check the power going to the headlights, so I checked and found power on driver's side and nothing on passenger, turn signals had power. So then he came up with this plan to rig a hotwire coming from the turn signal going to the headlight and know everything works but the radio, which was working before. Any clues about this happening or about how to fix my radio????

Rigging wiring is never a good idea. Chances are your headlight switch/harness are toasted right behind the instrument cluster. Have you checked the various fuses?

in 1994 my 90 Vert had this problem and it cost me 1200 in labor for Mazda to track it down. It went through 3 wiring harnesses before they fixed it. I can't tell you what they replaced.

the headlight switch and wiring harness were fired really bad, melted together, but have been replaced. I still have the wire in place and take it out every now and then but I still need it. Any ideas about way my radio went out??? Push power, the antenna goes up but the radio doesn't lite up or turn on.

fuse on radio?
is the radio aftermarket? if it is then there should be ( but don't curse me if i'm wrong) an inline fuse on the positive wire of the radio (I think they are usually about 3 amps) take a check after the connector..see if the fuse Is there and if it is and it's blown problem solved....till the next time!!!!!!!!
