hatch buzzer

I replaced the bolts on the latches for the hatch door. Now the buzzer doesnt turn off. The hatch is definetely shut.

Is there a way to turn it off? Or a simple way to stop it.

No hatch buzzer, just an idiot light. If the light is on, maybe there's a problem with one of the switches built in the hatch lock.

The buzzer lights up on... (1) redline <not likely>, (2) low oil level, or (3) low coolant level. for (2) and (3), you should also have an idiot light on.

Sorry guys, i meant the beeping noise when you leave the lights on and stuff. I've experienced the buzzer before, its completely different.
I reckon it is something to do with the wiring, but i'm not sure, its annoying me and I want to know how to stop it.

I've never had a beeping noise for my hatch. It was messed up for a while so one of the latches wasn't registering as closed and it never beeped...

This is starting to sound like a crazy CPU kind of thing. Solder joints go bad on these, and all kinds of funny things happen. But it could be the following...actually this is more likely:

Just to confirm...it seems like you get the beep, beep, beep as if you have the lights on and open a door? If your lights are off I don't think so...it sounds more like the little switch on the ignition is stuck and the car thinks you have the key in and is beeping at you to take the key out. Put the key in just about 1/2" and jiggle it gently to see if the key in switch pops out. You can also remove the lower steering column surround and unplug the whole ignition switch and see if the beeping goes away.

Let us know what happens.
