imho, it would be less of a headache to build it yourself. if you are like me and take great pride in your car, then i would go the extra mile to have something of better quality.

 

ummm.... yea. maybe you need to do a bit more research. you talk about taking great pride in what you do, yet you can't tell the difference between a neat tig weld and a big glob of molten steel trying to hold a flange up.

it's already been said--if you don't have any experience in what you're talking about, just don't say anything.

 

if you knew me you would know why i said what i did.

try working a full time job and removing/installing and building rotary engines in your spare time, it can become quite time consuming.

to me, upgrading something to work as well as something i built myself with a lot less work sounds more appealing right now. if i could not find a decent piece still available though.

 

well, you've heard the first hand experience, then you've heard the **** talking done by people who've never used them.

if you don't have time to fab, it's a cheap and easy solution.

i will probably get one of each of these, HKS replica/original and the SSAC manifolds.

i have no problem testing **** out to help other people out in the long run.

my turboback exhaust was extremely light also, does that discount it? nope, not for me and 13k+ miles of experience with it, in fact i love it.

am i dumb for buying their products? yes probably because at some point in time i'm sure i will run into a piece of crap from them.

would i touch any/all of their products? hell no, because i have seen some of the crap they produce but that doesn't mean they haven't revised their products.


i have to reengineer products for many car manufacturers every day and thousands of dollars went into the R+D of those parts. eveything can stand to have iprovements made.

when your coolant seal wall fails and your engine dies will you curse mazda and never buy another of their products again? i sure hope so.

honnestly. you might aswell make one out of duct tape. it will perform better and probobly last longer. it looks good, but no normal person would use it on their car. thats like buying a condome with no lable on the packet.

um... honnestly,i would stick with what you got and keep a lookout for somethin in the for sale section.

 

Buy a SSAC manifold and use it until it breaks... It's only like $200 or whatever shipped to your door; big deal if it breaks.

This is why Karack posted... He's GOING to do this UNLESS someone can say, "look, I JUST used this on my FC and it busted soon after"...

No one has said this, so it's likely that Karack will proceed as planned, regardless of common opinion. Facts are what sway decisions, not heresay and second hand experience.

I'd use one on my car, simply because it's cheap, easy and might just last a while.

Finding a way to brace it, or hold it up also sounds like the best way to combat premature failure...

 

you got it in for these manifolds... no one ever said they were the greatest, but why don't you do some homework instead of regurgitating things that you've heard.

 

look whoes talking you turd muffin. ive done my homework. and from person experience, i could poop out a better quality manifold.

 

no no no. it wont crack from the weight of the turbo. it will crack from heat. even if you brace it with 10 tons of solid cast iron, it will have more crack per squire inch then what a crackhoe has in her purse.

i want to see your set up man and what numbers u pushing out because half the guys on this forum talk crap about parts then they are the ones that are running stock so please if it works fine now get it and if ssautochrome has done some new work why not

 

The other thing that the pro group conveniently has not mention is their SHITTY customer service.
I guess if it works for you, and you run into ZERO problems getting your item, then you would have no worry.

Item fails immediately?
Wrong item shipped?

GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

You can't argue it's NOT RX-7 specific - this is the same seller on eBay.
Do a search - there's LOTS of complaints about this.
