I cleaned my low level warning light sender on my 91 convertible with Gumout but have not tried it yet. I do not think it is going to work though. I could not find any change in resistance between the pump being upright or inverted. I found before that Wynn's Throttle Body Cleaner works great on varnish when the Advance Carb cleaner made no difference but this product is only available from the Wynns man and I do not have any at the time.

Has manage to repair their low fuel level warning light? I saw an old thread were people were trying to find the part number for just the sensor but it did not look like they could get it.
