Are you pointing at the power steering pump? What are you concerned about?

The power steering is garbage and in the way of everything you'll ever do to you engine. Get rid of it and modify the rack so its a manual. i.e. remove the piston seal on the inside. Then grease it up with synthetic grease and your all set it will be barely harder to turn while sitting still as long as you have air in your tires. Thats my take on it anyways.

you have absolutely no idea what your talking about.

to the op i suggest you leave your perfectly fine, working power steering system alone.
personally i love my power steering.

Since its the speed sensing version, it shuts off at 30-40mph and becomes manual anyway.
