good point , we are trying to stay along the lines of hybribs i.e bnr turbo turbonetics majestic to say a few ,we just want to know what simple set ups work and that can bring you into the 11/12s range , some tuners out there may say stand alone but thats not the question, and please lets be nice this is just to educate readers what products out there witch they may have tried and had success with thats all

thats a ludicrous statement.

a stock turbo flows nowhere near enough air (especially at 7psi!) to make 270whp. they max out at about 260, and thats at about 15psi.

Obviously you didn't read my second post. It's at the bottom of the first page. Go read it now

270RWHP@7psi. Stock turbo. Probably had a full intake and exhaust, FMIC and EMS.

Wasn't my car then - and I didn't get it with the mods, just the block.

Hopefully it'll make similar numbers this year, I guess I'll find out once it runs.

EDIT: I just read his posts (search Lawyer's spirit as post owner and dyno as keyword) and I guess it was at 9psi, but close enough.

Isn't it funny how we all either spin in 1st or have a clutch that's slipping when we do a pass. I ran a real shitty pass once with my 87TII

Stock ecu with fcon
720's on the secondaries
FMIC
Half bridge
To4e turbo stock hot side Ported but not enough.
and 8 year old used tires from some guys supra turbo (free at the time)

My pass was a 14.1 and I suffered from major boost creep so I was switching gears at like 4800 as I was watching the car lean with boost going in upwards of 15+ psi and I spun out in 1st, 2nd (almost crossed the line), and 3rd. Friend has the video. Second pass was much worse. I broke the shifter off of the tranny on the green light. Dammit! I need better skills.

Needless to say it was embarrasing but I felt better when I saw a 2000 civic SI (near stock) blow his motor, then was ashamed again when I saw an FC N/A with only an exhaust and intake run a 16.7. Bad day for FC's.

I will have my day on the track this summer!

my buddy had stock ecu 3inch exhaust tid mod home depot blow off valve nitto 555 i think walboro fuel pump he was running rich and ran a 13.4 not bad for stock ecu and stock injectors he didnt care he boosted to the max and made it home with all his seels it was funny we were sure we was going to tow his car home but he was lucky the pump probably saved his motor and he still races every weekend on the street he has not lost yet he can launch reel good on them evos wich logically should beet him but he has not lost yet go figure and he only runs 13.4

Youll run a little rich because the Rtek 1.7 reconizes that your supposed to have 720s in there not 750s. I also heard the 1.7 runs rich as is so the 750s will probably make it worse.

From BNR's websight:

"We have customers that have been very pleased with the performance of the BNR Stage 2. One of which made 332 RWHP at 14 psi, and the other running an ET of 12.3 at 114 mph in total street trim."

And thats the stage 2 hybrid.
Im sure brian can provide proof of this if you call him up and ask him. Why would someone make such a claim at there place of buisness and not have somthing to back it up with.

No the FPR wouldnt mod the signal to the injectors. And i would think that you could potentialy starve the engine of much needed fuel.
Also im not 100% on the 1.7 running rich, its just what i heard. Currently i just received my Rtek 2.0 and im waiting to get back to Germany to install it in my car.

i cant remember how many points up i had my safc. and i have a rewired walbro on my t2 with the stage 2 bnr. but i know i was running 0 till about 2,800 rpm and about 8 or 9 points up till about 3.5 k to get over the secondary kick in . (i was getting hesitation) and i think i was 0 all the way up till about 8 k. this all on a r-tek 1.7. the last dyno run i did (the one i posted about earlier ) i was running around 12 a/f till about 5k then i leaned out . but rule of thumb that i live by is that its better to run rich than lean anyday. if you want to run 750cc injectors go for it . just get some tuning. IM planning on going with 1000cc secondaries and 720 primaries soon . just so i can turn my boost up .

I have a RTek 1.5, RB 3" turboback, ported and modded TB, HKS filter, and was boosting 8psi. I ran a 13.8 with little traction and slipping 3rd/4th gear.

12s is attainable if i get everything figured out.

I dynoed at 217 just the other day. the rating is low cuz they stopped the run at 5k. maybe even a little less. I was getting boost creep and the guys tuning didnt want to blow the engine and play it safe. but the boost got up to 15psi for a very breif moment. Im a little upset but it looks like im going to go with a aftermarket manifold/turbo/wastegate combo so i can control the boost better. Im sorry i couldnt help you more with the 1/4 mile times. but bnr i think stated that his setup/ almost exact to mine pulled like a high 12's run.
Hello.

The stage 2 shouldn't have any problem creeping. Check your boost controller and shorten the wastegate actuator rod. That will lower the boost.

thats great because i have an safc but i dont trust it because i hear all the horror stories but now they have the 1.7 i think i might take it to a dyno with the 750s in the secondarys, this sounds to good to be true to run a 7 with out a stand alone it seems the 1.7 does everything for you so you dont have to tinker with anything and be able to run 12s with a simple stage two hybrid ........do you think thats a resonable set up bryan ?

Call a local shop. Most people here are idiots and I would be careful what advice to take from them, such as using a walbro

Forget the walbro comment. I honestly suggest calling a shop over listening to these guys. Some may have good intentions, but where did they get their information from ...other people who listen to other people.

This what you talking about? Don't really see a dyno graph anywhere.
