I believe convertibles are naturally heavier and have less rigidity due to the fact it doesn't have a roof to connect both sides..

The 'verts are much more driver's cars, and borderline GTs.

Nothing is as cool as dropping the top, but with the top up and latched the vert is almost as solid as the coupe.

Women love the vert.

vs

Coupes tend to be lighter though don't feel like they handle as well as verts.

Coupes are less likely to leak

Coupes come in Turbo form

coupes are quicker.

coupes have considerably more storage/luggage room.

some women don't like their hair messed up

Not even close. My vert is open and airy. My coupe just seems doesnt feel the same. \
But yes alot of the suspension/exhaust stuff is different.
Yes the vert is heavier. Yes it isnt as ridged. But it is so much fun to drive.

Vert will in all likelyhood leak

IF you get the vert be prepared to spend some cash on it. New tops arnt too cheap.and you may need to repair some of the door/window seals

Depends on watch your main use is. If you need a daily driver the vert is much better for cruising around in. Well...maybe the coupe's better since you live in Seattle. Not much sunny weather like in Southern Cali. Well I guess I wasn't much help at all. Go for the one you like vert or coupe.

I looked at both before I bought my vert. Plus and minus. Well, Im a single guy who, as some of the regulars on this site know, like to partake in alcoholic beverages. I bought the vert so when I puke, I dont have to pull over to do it. Hehehehehe, no seriously, being single the girls have come to the understanding that if the top is down, and they want a ride, their top is coming down also. Greatest car I 've every owned. For power, different types, but power. Single, take the vert. Got an anchor attached, go the hard top way.
