hey my friends car takes a few seconds to start. it wants to but. somtimes u have to try 2 times.
after it gets started it rund great
any reason for this?

 

low compression? fuel pump in good shape? clogged fuel filter?

might want to check those... also prolly take a look at the factory service manual and go thru the starting problems section

(thats all assuming that its turning over ok, if its not then you might have a dieing battery, alternator or starter)

 

humm ya i hope its not low compression, the fuel fillter aint bolted doen and it looks rusted. so i hope that is it.!!

 

Do the compression test first - no point in spending money on other stuff when a few minutes with a tester will tell you if you're wasting your time and $ or not...
