Hard starting....need some advice

Alright. I thought my car was having problems with leaky injectors (185k miles on oem). So, I had them rebuilt. Sure, two of the four were bad and now all are cleaned and re-installed....much better throttle response and all around acceleration.....but it still starts hard. I have also replaced the PD with a newer, metal one. My oem plastic capped one was still installed and had a small crack on it, so it was replaced.

Basically, the problem is.....my car will not start easily when warmed up....it will crank and crank and almost fire up but not quite....before it would reek of gas when it did this (before injector rebuilds) but now it just doesn't want to start.

Anyone have any other advice? MAF shot? Timing off? Combination of poor tuning?

Alright. I am going to borrow a timing light to check my timing. I am beginning to think it is retarded too much and causing my car to mis-fire when warm.

The car is set to advance the timing slightly when cold along with richening the mix ratios, correct? If not, I am going to check it anyways.

The car will idle a little irratically when warm (1k-1300). It likes to bounce up and down when the fan is on and then smooth out when the e-fan is off (maybe backwards on that one, will check tomorrow morning).

I am thinking that all my problems are related to just poor tuning (never actually had it done or did myself). I don't have the diagnostic tools to do it myself properly (but will build them if I can ever find the schematics again). I am fair to good with electronics and wiring, so I am confident that I can handle it.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

You might want to check ignition timing and also throttle sensor.

That's what I am thinking, at the top of my list for Christmas Eve and Day (other than the presents thing and family dinner)

The funny thing is that the car pulls sooo hard up to around 6k, then kinda tapers off.....makes me suspect timing
