Question Hard to start, TB Leaks

I have an 87 Turbo II. I bought it already hooked it, t04, front mount, street port, free flowing 3in exhaust, etc. It has problems I thought I could figure out but Im having some trouble. Its hard to start. I have to play with the gas peddle to get it stay running. Too much gas and it will start to stall and too little and it will start to stall. And I cant just hold it down a little, i have to play with it, tap it real lightly and real quick to get it to stay running until it warms up. Once it is warmed it will idle fine. What could cause it to do this?
Also, I did a leak test by pressurizing the intake to 20lbs at the throttle body using a pvc cap with a tire air valve and a coupling. The throttle body leaks real bad from somewhere underneath and to the back. Has anyone had this problem? Whould it cause the cold starting problems I described above or is that something else?
Are N/A and turbo throttle bodies the same? I dont have one here to compare to.
Thanks, sorry for the long post.
