I am possibly getting a s5 n/a vert form a guy in trade for my little pickup I no longer need my question is he said the car starts hard warm or cold... is this prolly a compression issue or a bad/leaky injector issue?

the only think I know about it is the following

89 rx7 convertable

167,xxx miles

starts hard cold or warm

auto trans overdrive starting to make noise

Could be any one of a number of things including low engine compression. No way to tell without hands-on troubleshooting.

Based on what you say, assume the engine and tranny will need to be rebuilt or replaced, and then value the car accordingly with that in mind. If it turns out to be something less than that, you'd would be ahead of the game.

 

well if it needs to be replaced I wil swap the s5 tails on my s4, the bumpers the 5 lug swap etc all over and then scrap out anything else anyone on here may need
