Hard pedal after pad install.
A strange thing is happening to my base '86. I installed Hawk HP+ pads on it a few days ago. Now, when the car is cold-- like in the mornings, the brake pedal is really hard. The car doesn't brake too well either. It almost feels like the brake booster is not working, except that when the car warms up, it is great. I know that race pads operate better at hotter temps, but this is downright ridiculous.
My fluid seems ok, I have the e-brake connected the way it was before, and I didn't open the lines to introduce any air in the system, so I don't think a bleed will cure anything.
Any ideas? This is pissing me off. It never happened with the old, almost dead pads.
