Haltech ?

I have a 87 rx7 that I did S5 turbo swap to. And I just got A e8 Haltech and I am using the factory harness with the plug and play adapter from Haltech. So I was wondering once I get every thing hooked up will be able to start the motor just to see if it will run. I know that I will have to take the car to the dyno to get it tuned. I just want to make sure that the motor runs. Also I saw a block of plate for the oil metering pump on one of the rx7 sites. Can you get rid of the oil metering pump?

Thanks

Did you get an E8 loaded with a base map from haltech? If not then you will have to find a basemap.

Yes, you can get rid of the OMP. You need to run premix if you do it though.

depending on your setup, with a basemap there is still no guarantee that the motor will idle even if everything is mechanically sound. every engine is different and idle/driveability tuning is often much tougher than WOT dyno tuning
