Question Help with 89 vert please...urgent

OK, car is not starting correct. Its not flooding, but it wont start without treating it like a carb (gotta put your foot on the gas)

Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, secondary fuel rail and nothing changed. Also, when I did get it running, it cut off when I put it in drive (automatic)

If you turn the steering wheel (PS) it will die also. This is my friends only car right now so we need to get this thing running.

Any suggections??

um, if your making compression but have to engauge the car's fuel cut (that's what the pedal does when pushed all the way down), then you probably either have leaking injectors and/or low compression.

The cutoff sounds like your TPS (throttle position sensor) may need to be adjusted or replaced.
