H2O works

atleast it seemed to work
my rx7 has been sitting for a little over a month now with a broke tranny (need a job to get the funds to fix it) so I have been going out and starting it and it has some weird idle issue where it has been bouncing around and backfiring and stuff

well I was going to try to ATF again but I tire ofthe smoke and stuff so I heard from someone to try water and well that is what I did

all I did was go up to the dynamic chamber take off a vac line and start the car( car was fully warm at this point) . then with a can that was holding water started dipping it in and outta the can till the motor sounded as though it was going to die and then let off for a moment and let the water burn out of there. then hooked everything back up and let the car run for about 2 min to make sure all was gone and the idle was nice and smooth ( well as smooth as any rx7 I ever heard).

over all time to do about 5 min
used a clean soda can and filled it full of water.
little smoke
can't wait till I can get it on the road
it revs a lot smoother and idles a lot better. again remember this is just sitting there though so I dont have a butt-o-meter to test on it.

only worry I had is I killed it once and then it would not start up for a moment. I guess I just put a little too much water in there and flooded it.

the hose I used was the one right on the front of the dynamic chamber below the bigest one. but I guess any hose would work

can you hydrolock a rotary motor though?

I say some of you guys with cars that run try it and tell me how it works

Sweet! I've heard some good things about this. Props to Rob at Pineapple Racing for posting it in the first place. I'll try it in the next day or two and let you guys know how it turns out. I JUST did the ATF treatment about a month ago. We'll see how well this really works.

Thanks,
Derek

just wish my car ran to try it out

easy to do though
a lot quicker and a lot less trouble then ATF
and dont need to change the plugs either

any ideas about water and MMO mixed together if that would help at all?
