About half the FC's in Japan are auto, and they're all turbo .

I've seen them around. My neighbor and his friend was stationed in Japan and they helped me pull the motor out of my 86 GXL today. They never saw the 6 port actuators on any of the cars over there, and the first thing they said when I opened the hood was "dude, that **** is in there backwards" because the turbo inlet to the throttle body is on the driver side where the N/A is on the passenger side.

Allegedly, the Jspec turbo auto tranny is a lot beefier than any tranny that they put on an NA auto stateside... It's not a terrible choice, but I'd much rather have a manual.

"Why should I get a manual? That would mean I'd have to pay attention and shift and stuff." -My old roommate, Bill.

None of the FC's had 6PI because they were all turbo'd. But they did have 6-port motors in Japan, just not in FC's.

hmm no 6 port motors in FC's in japan, damn, the actuator system on the J-Spec 6 ports is awesome, just lookat the pic i have of a JDM 6 port actuator setup. much better than US spec

That's European, not Japanese. JDM 6PI systems were identical to the US ones.

I have the butterflies, my car is european.
The butterflies are great as they will not get stuck like the sleeves do all the time, they are also controlled by vaccum which I think you can adjust to open whenever you want them to, So im running emissionless, custom exhaust and working 5/6 ports, no need for additional electric airpumps or **** like that

That's cool. 6PI that actually works.

Aren't the auto transmissions all the same, regardless of region?

All JDM FC's are turbo'd, so the autos are much stronger than the US ones, which are only used on NA's.
