Sorry to bring this back from the grave, but this thread comes the closest to answering a question I have about the trailing coils.
When I had the CAS properly set, the T1 and T2 were firing at the wrong times, as though the wires were crossed someplace. I pulled the CAS rotor and restabbed it several notches away, and the engine runs well now, only the timing marks are off.
I understand the select signal along with the CAS timing signal control the toggling between the T1 and T2 coils. My question is: What input does the ECU use to turn the select signal on and off? I don't see anything in the CAS that separates the trailing coils signals. This is such a mystery and its making me feel stupid.
