8mm wires? 4 spark plugs? Sounds good=) doubt you will notice any difference at all with the wires unless your old wires had gouges and rusty BAD connections hehe.. You could also do system checks to make sure your car is running properly.. Such as the oil metering pump. Pretty important little thing,, unless you go premix... check all fluids too.. tire pressure... Then grab some armorall.. clean the interior.. drive to spray and wash and you have a NEW CAR! haha ("new car scent" air freshner required...)

Don't forget the fuel filter, air filter, oil change, Dif gear oil change, Tran oil change, check hoses, check belts, Replace rad fluid, replace brake and clutch fluid.
More to a tune up than just plugs and wires.
I personally don't care for tattoos, but then I don't like pushrod motors either, but plenty of other people do.

--Get some di-electric grease and slather it on both ends of each plug wire. That'll help keep out water when you're driving in the rain, as well as going a long way towards inhibiting corrosion.
--Check belt tenions.
--Check the level in your battery's cells. Refill any low ones with distilled water. And clean the battery off, making sure that none of the dirt falls into the cells. Slather some of that di-electric grease on both terminals (after cleaning them, too.) Pull the positive lead off of the alternator (making sure that the negative lead on the battery is disconnected or you may zap yourself,) wire brush it, hit it with the di-electic grease and put it back on.
--Consider adding grounding wires. See below:

--Look at your air filter, and check that there isn't anything blocking its intake passage.
-- Give the linkage on the front of the plenum a good blast of WD-40 and move each one a few times with your hand.
--Clean your wiper blades and oil the arm hinges if they don't pivot up and down freely.
--Check the connections on the sensor on the bottom of the radiator. If you are standing in front of the car, facing towards it, the sensor is on the bottom on your right. On my FC, the wires and connectors both became brittle and fell apart. I had to cut and reconnect the wires.
--Check your rad hoses. Run your hand along each one, squeezing, to feel for soft/weak spots. Any hoses with soft spots must be replaced. You do not want to blow a hose on the highway with a rotary.
--If you're doing your plugs, you might as well change your oil, too. You can never do that too often.
That's everything that I can think of right now that doesn't get into major surgery.
