GTUS "pocket" under radio?
I noticed on Rarest's GTUS that he has a nice little pocket under his aftermarket din sized radio. I thought it looked stock, so I asked him about it. He says that the GTUS had this neat little pocket from the fatory. I'm curious if this is the case. If so, do you guys think that Mazda will be able to get me one? I'll find the pic so you can see. It would sure beat the home made panel I made, and give me a little place to put my cell phone.

Yes, the GTUs came with a small AM/FM radio, with no cassette! The remaining space is taken up by a large pocket.
Naturally it won't be cheap, but I would think that the dealer "should" be able to get this item.

I'll have a Coke!
Also check any model with a stock AM/FM radio becasue my '87 base model had one of those little pockets. That is before i ripped it out to put in an aftermarket CD player .

How does it mount? Is there a special stereo surround that must be used? After looking at the surround I have now, I can't see where it might clip in or screw in.
