I have an 89 GTU which as far as i know does not have a functioning sunroof. There is a motor behind where the sunroof would be and between the hatch.
What is this motor ??

It's for the 50mm cannon turret..(chuckle!)
Usually pops out of the sunroof..the bins hold ammo!
you not get a Gun with your Rx7?..it's optional.

 

That was a Texas market only, dealer installed package, which included an eight rifle hatch glass rack.
Records show that of the fourteen RX7s sold in Texas, exactly none got the upgrade.

Pluz would more likely have gotten the Southern Option Package, which featured a swamp cooler, lichen resistant paint and spare cinder blocks for long term yard parking.

 

This option was also available here in Northern Missouri; either that or I have a southern optioned model. It doesn't have the cooler or special paint though...

 

But does it have a spray bombed 01 on it?
