hi ive got are gtr infini, its a 87 and is imaculate inside and out, now are these rare or a high spec model or something?? could someone help me out??

maybe a list of the different S4 models and what they are or how they compare???

infini is real, GT-R is nissan as far as i know, sounds like a badge on a infini (if its a real infini even)
forgot about the jdp gt-r and gt-x

 

well, im sure you dont know but america as fas as I know got they're own model designations, and the rest of the world went with GTX, GTR, and base or something like that

The GT-R is a base model... the Infini is the top spec... it should be rather obvious whether it's an Infini or not...

1. Is it dark (dark, dark, dark) green?

2. Does it have the badging?

3. Does it have the interior?

4. Does it have the aluminum hood?

 

um its white, its a jap import, whats on the interior??? the speedo goes to 260 kph, and its got a new steering wheel so i cant tell you if its got anthing on there

 

um and how do i tell if its got an ali hood??

Lift the Hood DO it with 1 hand. If it's really really light then it's aluminum. If it isn't then it's steel...

Also, If u hit it u can tell the different sounds between Steel and Aluminum.. well atleast I can.

infini 3 came in white or black infini 4 was the dark green as soon as icemark tunes in he'll give you more info (as ive seen from any infini rx7 questions) i think he can tell you by vin# too

Infini's are based of the GT-X platform not the GT-R platform.
im am surpized to heard about your 87 white Infini as there are not that many left floating around. can you post some pictures?

this is a picture of 87 Infini Ver I thats white. most of them came with a low profile rear spoiler like this. its not the same spoiler came on the sport's version in the states.

and in the picture he changed the taillights to S5 lights.

 

yea thats kinda what my rear end looks like, got the same sticka etc, um i will try get some pics up asap, but just for my knowledge what specs would it have? would the turbos and eng , hp etc all be the same and its not really relivant

 

but yea the spoiler is different, its small but bigger than that, pix coming soon

 

The Infini I through III were available in white.

For Initial D buffs, the FC in Initial D is a Infini III

But Infini models would not normally be designated GT-R or GT-X. I would suspect that either the previous owner tried to make a Infini or had a Infini and didn't understand the difference and put on the GT-R stickers.

 

actually it is the same except for the missing cut out for the 3rd brake light.

 

its not the same if its missing the cut out :P not the same part number from mazda

The Infini I did not have the 4.3 gear rear end

 

It was my understanding only the IV had the 4.3 rear end

 

4.3 rear end started in the Infini II in 1988

 

the only difference with that spoiler compared to the sport one is it doesn't have a cutout for the 3rd brake light.

thats like saying the only difference between vert bbs wheels and infini bbs wheels are the infinis are 16".......... that would make them deffinently different in my book

all he said was that the wings were different than any other fc...... and he is correct..... it may be a minor thing, but none the less, its different

 

What are the performance specs for the Infini I-IV?

you can tell aluminium bonnetts from the steel by looking at the catch on the bonnett,steel bonnetts have the catch welded to the bonnett,aluminium have the catch rivited due to all catches being steel and you cant weld ali to steel
