gt40 1.19 or .94

I'm looking at picking up a gt40 and looking for some advice on the exhaust. Wondering how much lag there is in the 1.19 as compared to the .94? Right now the motor is stock ported 87 FC but i will have it street ported in the future

Jacob's suggestion makes more sense. I had a 13B-RE with a 1/2 bridgeport and that same turbo. Mine had the .94 hotside. My exhaust manifold had 15" equal length runners and twin Tial wastegates. It spooled pretty well, but without that 1/2 BP, I don't think it would have been quite as fun.

What are you planning to use the car for? IMO, it's not going to be responsive enough for autocross or drift with even a streetport. If you're just going to run at the 1/4 mile or the highway, perhaps.

Just my $.02.

Garrett catalog only lists a 1.19 or a .94 for a gt40. Cars mainly a highway driver with occasional 1/4 work.

Which GT40 are you talking about. The 4082 or the 4088?

4082 can make 10psi by 4k on a stockport motor, with .96 turbine A/R.
