Is that a ground? (pic) Need help asap please...

I'm in the process of changing my oil pedestal and after unscrewing the nuts that hold the stock pedestal, I discovered that small electrical connector.

I wonder if it was a ground that was between the nut and the oil filter pedestal (cause if it is I didn't see it fall). If it is not, where does it go and what is it?

Thanks again guys.

that is your oil pressure capacitor, mount it to the lower bolt on your slave cylinder on the transmission but clean it up first so it has good contact.

most tranny guys forget to put it back on when they do a clutch job.

Thanks Karack! Everything is clear now!

Not long after I rebuilt my clutch master cylinder, my oil pressure gauge went crazy and hit way too high. That connector must have slipped a while after my work due to bleeding of the system or something else.

But since I now have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, is there any point on relacing that connector?
