Can the stock-style rear spring be used with these? Or is it a different size and not compatible?

the nice thing about the FC rear, is that mazda used the 2.5" diameter spring stock, so its the same as the eibach /gc springs.

the only reason the stock type springs won't work is that they are really long and soft, but preloaded. so the stock spring for example, is like 12" but installed in the car is compressed down to like 8"

the gc/eibachs are usually about 7-8" long and not preloaded. which is why the height adjustment works.

It took me a year but with my research I got the info on ground control coilover sleeves.

They cost. 399.99
Come with 4 springs and the adjustable perches.
The front springs are taller then rear.

Install time on rear was 10 mins each. Self explanatory to do also but does come with instructions, if needed.

Front install time was 30 mins for each. I found it was easier to remove and install the front coilovers by undoing the sway bar thus making able to move the brakes out the way.

I slidd these on stock struts. Don't do it unless poor like me. If you weren't you wld by real coilovers lol. I blew the struts prolly in 2 weeks of daily driving. Witch makes the ride kinda mushy feeling. I hit a bump and it continues to go up and down for a few seconds. Not bad but noticeable.

Upgraded to kyb 5 way adjustable. Perfect! Love the way it feels. Nice and stiff. And lowered.

The stance was lower then lowering springs offered by tein or ebach. They say 1.5 drop. I used them and can't tell of any drop. Waste of money. But is better than stock.

Ground control will let you be low but not as low as the real coilovers. I found that max makes the best ones for being "slammed".

Ground control is really a better option than cutting springs otherwise don't waste ur time. Save ur money for some nicer ones. I will soon right a review of the one coilover that gets bad rep. Godspeed.
