grinding on lower manifold

Yo.. I just pulled all my 6p and acv stuff.. Can I grind down all that extra chunky aluminum on the lower manifold that supported the 6p's? It looks like there is a *LOT* that doesn't need to be there anymore, and I'm just dying to use this new bench grinder I got for free... It's either plug the existing holes, or grind it down and then plug them....

The motor im working on right now I have ground a few of the extra BS cause I will be running a Haltech and wont need it. I dont see why it would be a bad idea if you want to go through all the work, its a real pain in the *** let me tell you. Expecially if you are going to polish it after grinding like me.

Ok, I just started on this, so its not far along, but this will give you and idea of how much you can cut off, and what needs to be welded

WARNING - Extreme grinding and cutting if you click the link

Rember, I just started tinkering yesterday and its a spare, so I'm not worried about messing it up.

OH, and I'll answer the first question everyone will have.......

Yes I do have to much time on my hands

ok, question:

is there a way just to stop the exahust gases from going into the lower intake manifold altogether? I mean, what if you just blocked off the holes on the manifold where the exhaust gas is supposed to come in. would that work?

i'm just thinking aloud here. hehe, that might be a mistake, eheh
