Does it have a kind of connector on it? I have the same car and the only green wire near my alternator is the one that plugs into the sensor near the filler cap.

green wire

i im not sure the person i acquired the 7 from would start it and drive off like it was a piston motor, the radiator fan was wired to a ground and to the green connector by the driver side headlight and the green wire by the alternator was clipped off with wire hanging out. anyone know a good e-fan setup for a front mount intercooled TII

Green connectors are different than green wires. Green connectors are diagnostic plugs.

Again the green wire near the alt is for the supplemental electric fan found on some auto tranny and some turbo models. The green wire is for the temp sensor for that fan. It does not wire to the fan itself. It simply tells the ECU what the coolant temp is, and that in turn activates the fan relay to cool the engine down when the coolant temp exceeded 210F or the air conditioning was on.

It did not help control the main fan, which is mechanically controlled from a thermostat built in the fan up.
