Greddy Profec B-Spec II install write-up!
My car is still under the knife and today I slapped in the boost controller I got and decided to take some pics and make a write-up. The installation is incredibly easy and took me about 15 minutes to get everything hooked up (except 12v and gnd, since there is no battery in the car yet.)
The kit includes the controller itself, a 4mm hose, a 6mm hose, the solenoid, two harnesses and the random hardware required for the install.
The first step is to route the 6mm wire for the wastegate. The picture below of the turbo and actuator has the two plugs exposed, I plugged each end to each side. Pretty simple.
Next grab the solenoid and screw in the fittings in the 'NO' and 'COM' ports on the actuator. Take the 6mm hose and cut it in half, leaving you with a hose to the actuator and a hose from the turbo. Plug the hose from the turbo into the 'NO' fitting and the hose to the actuator into 'COM' fitting. Mount the solenoid wherever you want it. I mounted mine near the boost sensor.
Next step is to disconnect the vaccuum feed to the fuel pressure regulator located behind the intake manifold. Take the included y-spliter and tap into the vaccuum feed at the FPR.
Next you would run the harness for the solenoid along with the 4mm hose to inside the cabin, to where you want to mount the unit. I am going to mount mine near the radio, so I ran the harness and the tube behind the radio. The second harness in the kit is the power wire, which you can tap into the ignition wire found under the dash.
Like I said, the whole install took me about 15 minutes total and is incredibly simple.
