Got some symptoms, please help diagnose... bad smoke!
Well, this just started and it's a bit weird to me.
At first I thought my turbo had gone, but I'm not sure now.
First of, its a 1987 Turbo II, all stock with ~125k on it.
Previous owner said motor was rebult ~90k.
So, everything had been fine and one day I was sitting in a parking lot and had just turned on the car. I let it warm up a bit and then I noticed alot of smoke coming out of my car. It was blueish smoke so I assumed oil was being burnt somewhere.
I assumed it was my turbo that went bad as I didn't get smoke right when I started it up, but after it warmed up a bit.
So, after I got home, I checked the oil level. YIKES! it was real low...
The oil also smelled like gasoline.
So, I proceed to add oil and start her up again.
This time, smoked a little at startup but after driving her around for awhile I didn't notice any more smoke.
Now, I get a big puff of smoke on startup but I haven't noticed anymore during driving.
The car feels fine, no loss in power.
I'm going to do an oil change and see if it gets contaminated again.
Any thoughts or ideas on what might be wrong and how I should proceed to fix it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
