now it wont start back up

first off let me go through what i did to get it to run.back probed the ecu at the two pins for the primary injectors 3e and 3c i believe to see if i was getting a ground from the ecu. I backprobed with my negative lead and put my positive lead on the ecu positive and my voltmeter read -0.19 volts. So i then connected the two pins to ground for a moment and i heard the injectors click. I cranked it and it started. After warming up i turned it off and then i was able to start it back up. So i drove it up and down the road a couple of times until i hit a bump and the thing just flat out died.

I got it home and after unflooding multiple times i got it to start again. turnied it off and it hasnt started since.

I noticed that the ignition isnt firing until i crank the car for about 10 seconds ( on the leading side). The trailing side doesn't fire at all.

any ideas?

 

i have obviously checked for loose wires and didn't find any, but i could have missed something.

 

when u flodded it, while cracking ur only suposed to do it for like 5 seconds, and after tht u shouldnt use throttle...idn its kinda gay but ya, u might have fucked up ur spark plugs and need new 1s, i am new to rx7's but i was just reading sumthing to day about it acctualy

if i were you i would just rewire everything that has a connector on it that goes to the engine. i did it after mine was ******* up and perfect since. but i just traced it all back to the firewall and soldered it all together

I did the same as above i bought my wire harnes burnt though and akk i did was replace every wire with the exact same colored ones. As far as the connectors i cant answer that cause mine were given to me for free

 

five o motorsports sells the injector/bac connectors, make sure you get the right ones.

Just resuse the old connectors on the harness, theyre USUALLY ok.

 

i just reused them.. i left about 3 inches of wire off each plug and just soldered the new wire to them. excpet for the oil pressure one i had to make shift cause i broke the plug?!?!?!?!? idk how but i did


the most vulnerable part of the harness is from the injectors and the part that hovers above the engine. and come to find out thats where mine was cracked insulation and abare wires touching.

 

Check the wiring coming out of your CAS. It sounds like some of the wires in your ignition signal circuit are probably broken. Pull the CAS out and turn it by hand to see if you get spark with the key on. Move the wires around while you do this and see if you get spark. If it works sometimes but not others, you need to repair the wiring. In time, they seem to split where they come out of the rubber grommet on the cas.

most of my connectors are pretty good but there are definitely a few that have seen better days.

another thing, im not sure if it is causing any problems since i have an SAFC but my 02 sensor is not connected and i cant find any place to plug it in.
